Webb17 mars 2024 · All the barrels I have shot out the accuracy didn't really do down at all but my velocity did. Loads still shot lights out but speed dropped dramatically over a short period of time. Coat the head of the screw in polishing compound and hold it against the muzzle and operate the drill at low speed, moving it in an irregular circular or figure 8 pattern.
Webb25 dec. 2024 · I've been recrowning barrels with a round head screw head 2X bore diameter, slow battery drill, and auto valve grinding paste for 30 years. Just rotate the drill around, so you don't wear a notch in the screw head, and new grinding compound is worked in.
